The Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development and Ghana Cocoa Board are on the move to celebrate Ghanaian farmers once again with the 6thNational Farmers’ Day celebration for the enormous services rendered and great impact on the economy of Ghana.
The 36thNational Farmers’ Day celebration themed “Agribusiness Development under COVID-19 – Opportunity and Challenges.” will take place in Techiman in the Bono East region at the Methodist Park. This is to acknowledge the hard work and produces that are gotten from the region, as part of the plan to celebrate the National Farmers’ Day nationwide. The celebration which is power-packed with various activities, which will last for 5 days starting from Monday 2nd November, 2020 and end on Friday 6th November, 2020 with a Grand Durbar and an Award Ceremony.
This year’s National Farmers’ Day celebration was launched on Tuesday 29th September, 2020 the at the Ministry’s Resource Centre, Accra. The launch was done by the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Hon. Elizabeth Afoley Quaye.
