The National Film Authority of Ghana chaired by veteran actor David Dontoh after four (4) weeks of assessing 100 all-film-related project entries, the National Film Authority (NFA) Pitch Series Selection Committee has announced 25 shortlisted projects selected for the next phase of the program.
The announcement was made at the premises of MultiChoice Ghana Limited on 13th October 2020 and broadcasted via Zoom due to reasons to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and observe protocols.
Speakers who graced the event include Mr. Ivan Quashiga (Chairman-Pitch Series Selection Committee), Mr. Yoofi Grant (C.E.O-Ghana Investment Promotion Centre), Mr. Cecil Sunkwa-Mills (MD-MulttiChoice Ghana Limited), Ms. Juliet Y.A Asante (Executive Secretary- National Film Authority), Mr. Femi Odugbemi (Artistic Director- MultiChoice Talent Factory) and moderated by Ruddy Kwakye (C.E.O-Rave Media Group).
The NFA Pitch Series is an all film-related pitching event intended to bring filmmakers and the Ghanaian film ecosystem to the attention of investors, broadcasters, distributors, sponsors, and platforms around the world for potential collaborations, sponsorships, investments, sales, and advertising opportunities. There will be three (3) pitch sessions every four (4) months within a given year.
Ghanaian film businesses will be asked to submit their film-related projects for assessment and selection. Maximum six (6) projects/applicants will be selected to pitch per session. Selected filmmakers/applicants will be taken through a short workshop on pitching projects to investors, sponsors, distributors, and broadcasters. On the pitch day, the project team will make a pitch to close a deal.
The processes from project selection to the main pitch day will be recorded for digital, virtual broadcast on television and other digital online platforms. This is intended to strategically reach international investors.
Out of the close to 100 submissions received by the committee chaired by veteran movie director Ivan Quashigah, a total of twenty-five (25) projects were selected for the next stage of the series. The projects are listed below,

Five (5) other projects listed below were selected to partake in the workshops in-person but would not be eligible for the project defense stage.
